December 9, 2021<\/strong> \u2013 Yesterday, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.simulator.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SIMCOM Aviation Training<\/a> broke ground on a new 90,000-square-foot flight training center and global headquarters on Nemours Parkway in the heart of the <a href=\"\/town-center\/\">Lake Nona Town Center<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"993\" height=\"559\" data-id=\"25960097\" class=\"wp-image-25960097\" src=\"https:\/\/lakenona.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Render_Night_water-993x559-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakenona.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Render_Night_water-993x559-1.jpg 993w, https:\/\/lakenona.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Render_Night_water-993x559-1-980x552.jpg 980w, https:\/\/lakenona.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Render_Night_water-993x559-1-480x270.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 993px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At a ceremony attended by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, together with representatives from Tavistock Development Company and SIMCOM\u2019s affiliates, CAE and Directional Aviation, SIMCOM\u2019s President &amp; CEO, Eric Hinson, said that ground-breaking on the new training center \u201cis a great step forward in SIMCOM\u2019s continuing growth in the rapidly expanding aviation training market. The new SIMCOM Lake Nona Training Center is scheduled to open in early 2023,\u201d said Hinson, \u201cand its location in Lake Nona\u2019s downtown area, within walking distance of premium hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues, will offer customers a uniquely enhanced training experience not offered by any other training provider in the world.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"674\" data-id=\"25960098\" class=\"wp-image-25960098\" src=\"https:\/\/lakenona.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Groundbreaking4-1366x899-1-1024x674.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lakenona.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Groundbreaking4-1366x899-1-980x645.jpg 980w, https:\/\/lakenona.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Groundbreaking4-1366x899-1-480x316.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new training center will house up to 12 full-flight simulators representing the most capable and sophisticated aircraft in the business aviation market, including the Gulfstream G650, Bombardier Challenger 350, and Embraer Phenom and Praetor aircraft. When fully complete, an estimated 10,000 pilots will travel to Lake Nona each year to complete both initial type and recurrent training. Approximately 100 employees will be employed at the Lake Nona facility, the majority of whom will fill high-wage positions new to the SIMCOM and the Orlando area workforce.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe extend our most sincere thanks to everyone who has supported our efforts to develop this new facility,\u201d said Hinson. \u201cThese include Tavistock Development, together with Enterprise Florida and Space Florida, as well as SIMCOM\u2019s shareholders, all of which have been instrumental in supporting our move to the new center.
