Why some of the world\u2019s top athletes live and train in Lake Nona<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

You might recognize more than one face from Lake Nona on Team USA at this year\u2019s Tokyo Olympics. You might also recognize them training on the court, grass, or sand at any of our world-class training facilities in Lake Nona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the beach volleyball courts at Boxi Park<\/a> to the high-tech courts at the U.S. Tennis Association National Campus<\/a>, Lake Nona is home to a truly remarkable collection of sports and performance facilities fit for Olympians and athletes at every level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re also proud that some of the world\u2019s top athletes have decided to call Lake Nona home like Central Florida legend and Olympic gold medalist Phil Dalhausser. He and his wife Jennifer, also a professional beach volleyball player, live in Laureate Park<\/a> and run a volleyball academy<\/a> for youth and adults at Boxi Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ahead of the 2020 Olympic Games, Phil brought along his teammates from the men\u2019s and women\u2019s USA Volleyball teams for a special training and exhibition match at Boxi Park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am fortunate not only to train here, but it\u2019s also home to our volleyball academy. To share it with Team USA and to show the community what world-class beach volleyball looks like is pretty darn cool,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jennifer Brady, Jessica Pegula, and Frances Tiafoe from Team USA tennis all harness their skills at the USTA National Campus where they have 100 tennis courts fit for training all year round. The campus even offers smaller courts, shorter racquets, and low-compression balls so the next generation of Olympians can learn and develop their skills as they grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to its championship course, the Lake Nona Golf & Country<\/a> Club is home to one of the most outfitted golf performance facilities in the country, where novice players to touring professionals receive a comprehensive training experience. Earlier this year, the Golf & Country Club hosted the Gainbridge LPGA tournament where Team USA Olympian Nelly Korda put her skills on display as she won her first tournament of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
